Café
A place to sip locally roasted coffee, a source of good food made with fresh, regional produce, a hub for meeting up with friends, a green business that fosters sustainability, a convenient spot for connecting to a wireless network, a likely venue for catching the latest buzz around the Ag Quad—the new café in the renovated Mann building is poised to serve many needs as a vibrant cultural space on the upper campus.
“Gorgeous new building! Congratulations!”

A dedicated thirteen-member café committee of faculty, students and staff from across the Ag Quad generated the main guiding principles behind the concept of the Mann café as a community space. These principles include sustainability, diversity of food choice, excellent customer service, a belief in a strong educational mission, and the idea of a café as a venue for programming and events. Local Ithaca business partners Pam Gueldner and Kathleen Pasetty, submitted a winning proposal that closely matched the committee’s guidelines. Their new café is now known as Manndible in the Mann Library lobby.
